We are excited to announce that Revolution Networks’ President Eddy Abounehme has been named one of Ottawa’s Forty Under 40 recipients. The honour, presented in partnership by the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and Ottawa Business Journal, recognizes the contributions and accomplishments of our capital city’s top business leaders aged 40 and under.
Selected from a competitive pool of over 200 stellar nominees, Eddy Abouneheme was recognized for his business leadership and success as President of RevNet and CEO of seoplus+, which was also recently ranked as one of the fastest growing companies in Ottawa in 2017.
The judging panel was composed of Ottawa’s top names and most accomplished leaders in business, law, media, and publications. Eddy was honoured based on their evaluation of his business accomplishments, professional expertise, and communtiy involvement right here in the city of Ottawa.
Business Leadership and Success
Eddy was recognized for his succsesful leadership with the local IT service provider, RevNet. Under Eddy’s guidance, RevNet has become a leader in managed services, network services, and comptuer support for businesses in the Ottawa area. Additionally, Eddy has helped seoplus+ grow from a small startup to a successful digital marketing agency with 16 full-time employees and clients in Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Australia, United Arab Emirates, and Hong Kong.
Eddy has helped guide seoplus+ to achieve the coveted Google Premier Partner status, a designation held by only the top 3% of agencies based on factors such as certifications, performance, and ad spend. seoplus+ is also one of only a few agencies around the world to be designated a Shopify Expert Marketing Partner.
In 2016, Eddy coordinated the relocation of both RevNet and seoplus+ from West Ottawa to new offices in the heart of the ByWard Market. This new location in the historic Carriageway Building positioned both companies to better attract top talent, clients, and resources.
Community Involvement
In addition to his notable business accomplishments, the Forty under 40 award also recognizes Eddy’s dedication to community involvement and mentorship. Both RevNet and seoplus+ were built and enhanced by local talent. Eddy continue to introduce graduates and co-op students to professional growth opportunities in the tech, IT, and business world. Graduates of University of Ottawa, Carleton University, and Algonquin College have launched successful careers under the mentorship of Eddy Abounheme.
Eddy maintains advisory roles with St. Elias Cathedral and St. Elias Banquet Centre. He is also an enthusiastic supporter of several local charities, including the Make a Wish Foundation, The Dave Smith Foundation, Ottawa Network for Educaton, and Rae of Light.
Eddy Abounehme and his fellow Forty Under 40 honourees will share the spotlight in an upcoming edition of the Ottawa Business Journal. The recipients will be celebrated at a gala at Hilton Lac-Leamy on June 16.
